Pancakes and a sister

11 Apr

My lovely, youngest sister turns 12 today.

On this day 12 years ago, it was raining. My sister and I had spent the night with our aunt and uncle, and they woke us up extra early. We went to the hospital to meet this precious little girl for the first time. We had a quick breakfast of McDonald’s pancakes, and rushed to get to school on time. I spent the morning ignoring multiplication lessons and bragging about my super cool little sister to all the other 5th grade kids.

A day filled with a new little sister and pancakes — that was a good day.

P.S.  Little sister has requested pancakes for her birthday dinner tonight. Coincidence?

How sweet! This is such a cute post 🙂 Kudos to you for making it special for her. When you have the time, do drop by my space. I just made some sorbet and would love to know what you think 🙂

We were about an hour late for something at this point.
