At the beginning of March I made a goal to try red velvet cake. I’m to sure how I got to this point in life without having tried it, but I was determined to change that.
Then last weekend, Dustin and I ventured to the grocery store in search of something that could become desert. We had no recipe or ideas, just hunger.
And there in the spice isle, we found a McCormick recipe for red velvet cupcakes.
We gathered the ingredients we didn’t already have and set off for a night of baking. We picked up the pizza we’d ordered, drove home, got out bowls and measuring cups, and then we realized we didn’t have enough butter.
Our Friday night cupcakes were abruptly rescheduled. It was kind of sad.
But when we finally got to them, they were totally worth the wait.
